Project Description
Whatcom Environmental provided technical assistance to a metals fabrication facility which had been recently issued coverage under the Washington State Department of Ecology Industrial Stormwater General Permit. As a newly permitted facility, stormwater work included an evaluation and mapping of the facility stormwater infrastructure, implementation of mandatory best management practices (BMPs), and preparation of a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). Whatcom Environmental trained site staff on proper sampling techniques, BMP maintenance, recordkeeping, and pollutant source control. The facility now runs a compliant stormwater management program.
